Automatic doors for libraries: a silent solution that improves accessibility
Libraries are places that welcome dozens of people every day. Our automatic doors are therefore an excellent solution for improving accessibility and a smooth flow of people. In addition, because they open and close silently, they help to avoid distractions.
We have a wide range of models of automatic doors ideal for libraries, ranging from curved and semicircular sliding doors, to standard sliding doors that are perfect for environments with a high flow of people, to automatic swing doors. Each door type stands out for having features suitable for these spaces.
Benefits of automatic doors for libraries:
- Guarantee safety: they are completely safe resources with advanced sensors that detect movement and prevent accidents.
- Offer accessibility: automatic doors facilitate the constant flow of people in libraries, allowing students and teachers to enter and exit easily throughout the day.
- Contribute to silence: the door opens and closes silently, helping to maintain an environment isolated from external noise.
- Provide energy efficiency: minimize the exchange of air between the inside and outside, helping to maintain a stable temperature and reduce energy consumption.
- Add aesthetic value: the minimalist design of the automatic doors is designed to be attractive, while providing details such as different finishes that adapt to any type of space.
- Promote equitable spaces: these elements ensure that people with reduced mobility or who use wheelchairs can access and move around the building comfortably.
Automatic doors at the Marta Mata Library
At Manusa we offer automatic doors adapted to different spaces, such as libraries. One example is the Marta Mata Library, located in the old Titan cinema, which was inaugurated in 1926 and transformed in 2009, maintaining its noucentista style.
Our capacity for customization is our distinguishing feature and, in this project, we sought to respect the façade, protected as part of the heritage of Cornellà de Llobregat, which requires the preservation of its original design. Therefore, for the main door, which is located on a rounded corner of the building, the best solution was to install curved doors with bi-parting transparent leaves with fixed panels.
