The new EI 90 Fire Rated Hermetic Door: fire resistance for the healthcare sector

Our new EI 90 Fire Rated Hermetic Door is a product designed for the healthcare sector and laboratories where fire protection is required without compromising airtightness and safety. This model has obtained the UNE-EN 1634-1 standard certification against fire, in tests on the operator, frame and door leaf.

Its design offers a combination of durability, fire resistance and structural integrity, as well as meeting the stringent safety standards required in healthcare environments.

Resistant to fire, smoke propagation and with increased air tightness

Our EI 90 Fire Rated Hermetic Door, which maintains the essential characteristics of the standard hermetic door, has a high resistance to temperatures of up to 1000 degrees caused by a fire.

In the tests, flame resistance of up to 90 minutes was achieved with the operator side not exposed to fire and up to 60 minutes with the operator side exposed to fire.

In addition to flame resistance, it has also successfully passed smoke tests, demonstrating its ability to maintain the air tightness necessary to prevent air leaks in emergency situations, maintain visibility and air quality in escape routes, and prevent the spread of both cold and hot smoke, with a temperature of up to 200 degrees, which in many cases can be toxic.

It has also obtained the highest classification in the two air permeability standards, which demonstrates how airtight the door is.

To optimize its performance, we have integrated the Visio+ hermetic operator, designed to ensure a high level of airtightness. This allows our EI 90 Fire Rated Hermetic Door to be installed in environments where fire safety and airtightness are essential, such as operating rooms or corridors requiring sectorization in a hospital.

Functional and customizable design

Our new EI 90 Fire Rated Hermetic Door is the essential component of fire protection in buildings and sanitary environments to protect against fire hazards. It also maintains the aesthetic appearance of a conventional hermetic automatic door.

Its side opening can be configured to meet any design needs, and our design team can customize it by choosing from up to ten different colors for its high-pressure laminate (HPL) surface. It is also equipped with a stainless-steel handle and stainless-steel finger grip and, optionally, a 450x450 mm peephole can be installed in the door leaf.
