Fire resistant doors at CUF Viseu Hospital

CUF Viseu Hospital stands out for offering comprehensive health care for the whole family, covering multiple medical and surgical specialities. Recently, the Manusa Portugal delegation carried out the installation of 12 doors of different typologies in the hospital. These included hermetic bi-parting sliding doors, equipped with vision panel and recessed handle. These features guarantee airtightness and facilitate cleaning, as both the vision panel and the recessed handle are set into the door surface, preventing dust or dirt accumulating in grooves. 

In addition, 3 automatic bi-parting sliding doors with EI60-rated fire resistance were installed at different entrances to the surgical area. These doors not only allow convenient and smooth access, but also provide fire protection, which is essential in a hospital environment where safety is a priority. 

EI60 rated doors, known for their ability to maintain integrity and insulation, are designed to resist fire and prevent temperature rise inside spaces for up to 60 minutes. This type of door has been tested and certified to comply with current fire resistance regulations.
