Installation of Automatic Doors at the Olite Castle Store

Retail

Olite Castle is an example of Gothic civil architecture in Europe. The managers of this landmark have decided to restore and modernize it. Thanks to Pormanorte, our distributor in Navarra, we have installed an automatic door in the new module that houses the gift store and the lockers.

Our project is an addition to the rehabilitation that has been carried out in recent years at Olite Castle, declared a National Monument in 1925. The store is located inside the historic wall, in the entrance courtyard, and was designed in a rectangular shape made of wood, which respects the environment and the essence of the place.

An automatic door for a small space

The entrance to this module was not particularly wide, so there was limited space available. For this reason, we decided to install an automatic telescopic sliding door, a solution that allows us to increase the passage area by up to two- thirds of the occupied space. This design, which is tailor-made to fit in perfectly with the surroundings, not only provides a functional and comfortable entrance, but also blends in with the sustainable design of the store.

Our automatic door is equipped with an advanced obstacle detection and automatic reopening system, ensuring maximum safety for people entering the store or purchasing a ticket. The door also complies with the strictest regulations in terms of product and use, reinforcing our commitment to quality and innovation.

Preserving the historical essence of Olite Castle

One of the key aspects of this project was to achieve an aesthetic integration that respected the identity of Olite Castle and its medieval surroundings. The automatic door was customized with vertical vinyls on the glass leaves to complement the wooden module, offering a modern solution in tune with the historic beauty of the enclosure.

This installation stands out for its functionality and contributes to enhancing the visitor experience. Its opening speed not only facilitates access and eliminates architectural barriers, but also contributes to energy efficiency, minimizing air conditioning loss inside the module.
