Management opening operating theatres at Trang Hospital

Founded in 1982, Trang Hospital is the main hospital in Trang Province (Thailand), providing general and specialised medical services to patients living in and around Trang Province.

Today it has a huge complex of 3 buildings, in which there are ICUs, delivery rooms, operating theatres and different wards dedicated to various medical specialities.

Airtightness for operating theatresthanks to Manusa doors

Together with Panelesmatic Solutions, Manusa's official partner in Thailand, an important project was carried out with the installation of more than 30 hermetic doors as a response to the constant improvement of the hospital facilities.

Both hermetic sliding doors and leaded hermetic doors were installed to provide access to the operating theatres.

Maintaining airtightness in operating theatres is paramount, as this is one of the most vulnerable areas in a hospital. The hermetic door ensures absolute hygiene and avoids any kind of contagion and entry of external pathogens.

It is also possible to find leaded rooms that function as operating theatres, so that in addition to the need for airtightness, the function of guaranteeing the isolation of X-rays emitted by radiology equipment is added, making the leaded hermetic door the best solution for access to this type of room.

The operating mode of the access doors to the operating theatres is managed by the smart program switch, which allows the door status to be selected according to need: open, closed, automatic or exit only mode. This ensures the correct and controlled access of any person to the operating rooms.

The doors are opened using the touchless switch, which allows the door to be opened just by bringing your hand close to the door; this avoids hand contact with the door and prevents the spread of germs.
