More than 150 Manusa doors in Jiangsu Province Hospital

Sanitary

Jiangsu Providence Hospital is one of the largest general hospitals in eastern China, with an imposing infrastructure covering an area of 410,000 square metres. This hospital has a total capacity of 5,200 beds and a staff of approximately 7,000 employees, making it one of the leading healthcare institutions in the region. In a collaborative project with Beijing Aupro, significant improvements were made to the hospital, specifically to the new outpatient complex, emergency areas, operating theatres, intensive care units (ICU), and other medical spaces.

One of the highlights of the project was the installation of 150 automatic doors of different models, adapted to the specific needs of each area. In the operating theatres, single-slide opening hermetic doors, designed to maintain a sterile environment, were installed.

Personalisation and hygiene

These doors include a square vision panel made of electro-polarised glass, which can be switched from clear to opaque, providing privacy when needed. In addition, they have tubular handles for manual opening in case of emergency and, if necessary, there is the option of installing an antibacterial tubular handle, which provides superior resistance to various micro-organisms harmful to health.

In the ICU rooms, glass hermetic doors were chosen to provide optimal visibility for the medical staff, allowing continuous and safe patient care. These doors facilitate the monitoring of patients without interrupting their isolation.

Finally, in keeping with the general aesthetics of the hospital, automatic doors with panic-breakout systems and white profiles were installed in the access and section areas. These doors, equipped with dividing strips, are hinged, allowing the safe passage of stretchers and medical equipment in emergency situations, as well as ensuring fast and efficient evacuation.
