Onfit Gymnasium, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
The Onfit gymnasiums chain provides a 24-hour service, 7 days a week. For this reason, it requires an access system that can control, at any time, users entries and exits. The best option was the unipersonal interlock system installed on the entrance, with a circular sliding door, since it only allows access to authorised people. It also allows different validation systems to be integrated, such as RFID cards, fingerprint recognition, numeric keypad... Or, as in this case, with a mobile-phone QR code.
Its operated via a touchscreen, which offers a choice of different modes: exit, entry, night and emergency. The door LEDs indicate the correct direction: green to enter and red to exit. Once the sensor detects access, it opens the first door to provide access to the interior. Users must wait until the door closes behind them, and then will have to validate in order to continue. If all is correct the door opens; otherwise, after 15 seconds, the door used to access the premises will open, so that the user can leave. There is also a safety button in case of entrapment.
The night mode leaves the doors locked, preventing anyone from entering or leaving, and the emergency mode allows the doors to be unlocked for rapid evacuation if necessary.
