Paediatric ward at King Hussein Medical Center
The King Hussein Medical Centre is a major military medical complex located in Amman, Jordan, consisting of five hospitals. The centre is affiliated with the Jordanian Royal Medical Services (JRMS), a branch of the Jordanian Armed Forces responsible for providing healthcare to members of the armed forces, security services, retired military personnel and their families. It also provides medical services to the general population of Jordan, making it a key pillar of the country's healthcare system.
Since its creation in the early 70s, the centre has undergone several extensions and improvements. Among the most outstanding advances are the improvements in the surgical and paediatric areas, where modern Manusa automatic door systems have been installed to optimise functionality and safety in these areas.
In the paediatric area, automatic glass hermetic doors were installed to provide visibility into the rooms, without compromising the airtightness required by a hospital environment. In addition, the rooms and walls were decorated with children's motifs to create a more welcoming and less intimidating environment for the young patients and their families.
Also, the operating theatres were fitted with automatic hermetic sliding doors made of stainless steel. These doors, designed to ensure sterility in the surgical environment, are fitted with tubular handles to allow manual opening if necessary, as well as circular vision panels to facilitate the view into the rooms.
With these improvements, the King Hussein Medical Centre reinforces its position as a benchmark for medical care in Jordan, offering state-of-the-art facilities for both its military patients and the civilian population.
