Personalisation of operating theatre doors in Clínica Imbanaco

Sanitary

The Imbanaco Medical Centre, located in the city of Cali, has its origins in the 70s and, since then, its facilities have undergone multiple extensions, to provide a range of health services as comprehensive as possible.

In 2019 it was acquired by the European company Quirónsalud, with the aim of strengthening its service to patients and continuing to make important contributions to the sector by providing humanised care par excellence. It has also been accredited as a Health Institution of Excellence by the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICON-TEC), making it one of the most competitive centres in the country when it comes to ensuring the safety of its patients and preserving the quality of its services.

Customisation for Hermetic Doors

The surgical block area was fitted with several hermetic doors, both sliding and swing with built-in vision panels, in order to maintain airtightness in the different operating theatres; in these spaces, high hygiene standards are required to prevent particles, microorganisms and contaminants from entering into the operating theatre.

It is worth noting that the hermetic swing doors are finished in white HPL, a material that is easy to clean and which adapts to the hospital aesthetics. For the doors of the operating theatres, a stainless steel finish was chosen, which is strong and durable. Built-in vision panels allow healthcare professionals to see inside the operating theatre without compromising airtightness. This is essential for safety and control during surgeries.

To differentiate the operating theatres, numbered and different-coloured vinyl was placed on the door leaves for the visual identification of each operating theatre, helping the staff to locate them correctly and avoiding confusion.
