Surgical area in Nantong Medical Centre
The Nantong Medical Centre is an ambitious local construction project covering an area of approximately 420,000 square metres with 2,500 beds. This medical centre has become the only one of its kind in the Suzhong region of Jiangsu province, positioning itself as a high-level comprehensive health care institution at the provincial level.
One of the most outstanding features of the project is its innovative structure. The main medical section includes several business buildings and the emergency area, as well as outpatient and medical technology services. All these spaces are connected by a bridge to the four hospital buildings. This arrangement optimises the consultation and treatment process, facilitating more efficient access for patients.
Maintaining Airtightness in Surgical Areas
In addition, for access to surgical areas, automatic hermetic sliding doors have been installed, specifically designed to minimise air infiltration and prevent the spread of pathogens. This type of door helps to maintain a controlled environment, reducing the risk of nosocomial infections by ensuring greater control of air quality.
Leaded hermetic doors have been incorporated in the X-ray rooms, which are essential to comply with safety and radiation protection regulations. These doors are designed to prevent radiation from escaping from the rooms, protecting patients, medical staff and anyone in the vicinity. Thanks to these measures, the Nantong Medical Centre not only optimises the flow of patients, but also ensures a high level of safety and control in its specialised medical facilities.
