Unlike sliding doors that feature a bi-parting or single-slide opening, automatic swing doors open by rotating either inwards or outwards about a vertical axis. We can also convert manual swing doors into automatic doors.

Although one might think it is difficult, converting a manual swing door into an automatic version is quite straightforward. It just requires a swing operator, either with a pull arm or push arm. Pull arms are fixed to the wall on the same side as the hinges, while push arms are attached on the opposite side to the hinges. The doors can be opened by means of a switch, sensor, access control system, etc.

In certain situations, depending on the door’s opening speed, sensors should be installed to avoid crushing anyone who might be positioned between the door and the wall on the side it opens.
