Mautone Sanatorium

Mautone Sanatorium SEMM is a renowned private hospital located in Punta del Este, in the department of Maldonado, Uruguay. In its expansion and modernisation, Mautone Sanatorium collaborated with Abelenda Hermanos and Manusa for the installation of different types of automatic doors in its new facilities. These automatic doors, mainly sliding, offer important advantages, as they minimise physical contact and, thus, reduce the spread of germs and viruses. By avoiding manual use, these doors significantly reduce the risk of cross-contamination between patients, medical staff and visitors. They also facilitate a smooth and controlled flow of people, which is essential in high-traffic areas such as emergency rooms, operating theatres or waiting rooms, where access speed and efficiency are essential.

In particular, standard automatic side-opening and telescopic sliding doors were installed. In addition, in critical areas such as Intensive Care Units (ICU), glass hermetic doors were installed, which meet strict safety, hygiene and infection control requirements, essential elements in vulnerable hospital environments. These facilities improve both the functionality and safety of the hospital, benefiting patients and medical staff.
