The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University

Sanitary

Founded in 1928, The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University stands out as the largest hospital in Asia. It is located in Henan province, which is the most populous province in China. This gigantic medical centre covers a total area of 500,000 square metres and has the capacity to accommodate up to 7,000 beds, making it a national and international benchmark for healthcare services.

In addition to its extensive infrastructure, the hospital offers a wide range of medical treatments and is also known for its intense activity in the field of scientific research. This makes it not only a centre for medical care, but also a pillar for the advancement of medicine.

One of the technological innovations implemented in this hospital was the installation of a total of 65 hermetic automatic doors of the Manusa brand, a task carried out by the Beijing Aupro company. These doors were placed in different areas of the hospital, thus ensuring that the highest standards of safety and hygiene are maintained.

Particularly in the pre-operative area, where patients are prepared before surgery, hermetically sealed glass sliding doors were installed. These allow medical staff to observe patients without having to open them, ensuring a sterile and safe environment. Such doors are also found in Intensive Care Units, critical areas where it is essential to maintain airtightness to prevent infection.

In the operating theatres, side-opening hermetic doors in white HPL were fitted, contributing to a clean and aseptic image. These doors, together with flush covers and peepholes, ensure an environment of maximum cleanliness and efficiency.
